The North Lourian Mountain Guard
Structure
The Wardens are led by a Knight General who oversees the entirety of the Guard from their headquarters in Castle Skywatch, with appointed Knight Captains in charge of the other castles. In turn, these Knight captains assign Lieutenants who oversee Outposts, who in turn, nominate Sergeants to supervise checkpoints and patrols.
Public Agenda
The Wardens sole duty is to defend the south from Umbrian, Orcish and Goblin incursions.
Assets
The Guard owns and controls a total number of thirteen castles which are as follows:
Dragonspire under the command of Dame Captain Kaylor Teyrs with one thousand Cavarly, four thousand Infantry and ten thousand Archers.
Archdale, under the command of Knight Captain Valentino De Navero, with two thousand cavalry, ten thousand Infantry and eight thousand Archers.
Skywatch under the command of Knight General Joseph Locke with ten thousand Cavalry, twenty thousand Infantry and ten thousand Archers.
There are another twenty-four thousand warriors spread out across the mountains in Outposts and checkpoints alongside a small five-hundred-men detachment called the Blazers who venture north into the snowy wastes to hunt Orcs and scout out their tracks.
History
The Guard was established after the War of Terror in which the Oricana Warmaster Borduk the Chosen and his warhost flooded through Northern Louria with blood. The Guard's sacred duty is to ensure no creatures of the Northern pass through the mountains with hostile intentions.
Demography and Population
The population of the Guard is made up mostly by warriors of the order with servants assisting in the maintaining of the castle.
Territories
The Wardens hold thirteen castles spread along the Sword-Fang Mountains in each of the major passes through the mountains and outposts and checkpoints in most, if not all, of the smaller passes.
Military
The Guard numbers around 130,000 warriors spread across their ranks, with 20,000 stationed at Archdale and 15,000 stationed at Dragonspire. The largest garrison is at Skywatch numbering 40,000. The rest of their number is spread out amongst the outposts and checkpoints.
Trade & Transport
The Guard is supplied monthly with food and equipment by the Kingdom of Falradia so they can better keep out Oricana and other denizens of the north.
