Justain

Justain is a cuckolded member of the Lunar Brigade who serves as a deckhand aboard the Nomad. His military training makes him the most capable helmsman on the ship, and often finds himself on steering duty. Nevertheless, he has a diverse skill set that makes him a valuable crew member in any capacity, if not a particularly interesting one.
The Mong Bal members of the Party unfamiliar with Homyn naming conventions often mistake his name for just "Stain" and his attempts to correct them only lead into bad comedy routines. They keep a statue of his fiancée created by the Moku subjects she left him for on the front of their ship as a figurehead, called The Lady's Rebuff, which Justain is a surprisingly good sport about.

Justain met the party on Nimbus where he served on The Weathervane with his fiancée, a scholar and heiress named Shiobhan. She helped Alyn Arkades develop the Cloudhead that protected the Moku natives using her knowledge and family's money. But when the project completed and the Moku workers were let go to return to their villages where they had been exiled, Shiobhan took pity on them and stole one of the Cloudheads to let them live in peace.
Shiobhan developed Turner's Syndrome, a condition that afflicts members of the Lunar Brigade in their colonization efforts that causes them to believe they are gods. When the Party took Justain to go look for his missing fiancée, they found her being worshipped by her Moku charges, as she controlled the Cloudhead that provided them shade and also could rain lightning from the sky. Justain helped the Party talk Shiobhan down after they infiltrated her defenses in Cirrus Castle, and she submitted to Homyn authorities.
After resolving that issue, Justain didn't have much else to do on Nimbus and he got along well enough with the party, helping them fell a Cloud Manta on their way over, so he decided to join up with the Nomad's crew and adventure with them.
