Aar’s most famous myth comes from the Era so aptly named after him. In the beginning Aar was content with his duties as caretaker of the Plane of Fire, though the continuous bombardment of his sibling realms began to irritate him: whole portions of his realm turning to magma or steam. It was infuriating and worst of all was Aubi. The Angel of Air would travel to his Plane when she became too bored with her own lot and blow out his ‘eternal’ flames, drowning his world in darkness. After a few millennia he threatened to wage war against his sister, promising to destroy her and her entire Plane. Rather than face her brother’s wrath Aubi, as cunning as she was, offered a truce. All Aar would need to do is travel to Manari's Mortal Plane and stir a bit of trouble, enough to be entertaining. If Aar would agree she would give her word not to travel to the Plane of Fire; leaving him alone in peace. Knowing the death of a child would anger Falensha, who had shown favor on him by allowing him to assist in so many of her creations, Aar agreed. Aar’s time on the Mortal Plane was far worse than Aubi or Aar could have imagined and soon the drought of the Aar’s Era began, followed by the Great Famine, killing countless mortals and earning the wrath of their Uncle; who was forced to banish them both from the Plane, leaving him to work tirelessly to revert the damage they had caused.Sexuality
Many religious historians believe Aar to be of homosexual orientation; countless texts inferring his relationship with Lalos, Warden of Evil. This would also explain why so many depictions of the Syntropic Plane throughout the ancient texts have representations of fire or brimstone.
