High Coast
With an advent of modern construction techniques it became possible to stabilize this ragged cliff enough to allow for dense urban development. Built mainly during 30s, many buildings were designed as "sustainable", but didn't age well.
Long narrow neighborhood, squeezed between I-8 and a railway line and the ocean cliff. Many high-rises, some are abandoned. Not bad in terms of services, but it's windy, noisy and crowded. Traffic is terrible, especially on Orange Boulevard.
