New Rainbow
Continuation of Rainbow beyond Newport and freight railway line, squeezing between I-8 and Northern Fort.
As Rainbow proved to be quite a popular district, this hood was planned as it's natural expansion. History didn't repeat itself though - this area turned out a miserable place: surrounded by railways and highways, barred from the sea by historical museum and not having all the schools and public transportation links it needs. Even sea breeze, so prized everywhere else, seems to blow here in harsh gusts, carrying unwelcome smell of seafood from nearby fisheries.
New Rainbow's luck turned to worse with time, as the hoods around it became more competitive and pulled more of Swash resources. Old Rainbow to the south was a success; Hexagon to the north became a fortress of the rich, and New Rainbow was stuck in between and degrading.
Organ legging is the most recent problem of New Rainbow that has reached proportions of a full-blown crisis. Gangs prey on lone travelers or small groups, take the victims apart, harvest, and sell the organs to the many clinics or black doc offices. Extreme caution is advised, but there are still many who cannot afford moving and have to live in fear or face the harvesters.
