Liberty

Liberty is a small country closely allied to its neighboring Menrva yet a sworn enemy of its other, the CSA. This has to do with its origin.

Structure

Liberty has a similar government to Menrva, with a High Council overseeing the tiny nation and Provincial Councils for each province. Only being the size of modern day Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan, the provinces are small and meet in over video calls with all 4 Provincial Councils and the High Council together, unlike in Menrva, which has 36 individual Lordes' Councils who only meet with an appointment made a week in advance when needed.

Culture

Liberty is very similar to Menrva in culture, preferring to serve all people equally but especially the poor.   Their generational trauma about Disobedience, however, makes the extremely unwelcoming of Evangelists, who often get refused service anywhere they go.

Assets

Liberty's army is small, due to its meager population of 100 million.   Its mineral rich land, however, makes it a highly valuable economic power, and many countries will aid Liberty in any war it partakes in.

History

After the Menr-American War, a treaty was signed that forced the concentration camps of Disobedience to be given to its inhabitants, who were to be free.   The people quickly went about tearing down the camps and using the materials, and aid from Menrvan forces, to build new cities.   Liberty was still a reasonably weak nation until 50 years after its founding, when it became recognized by most of the world. It soon became a common supplier of materials needed to create quantum computers. Liberty's rulers also signed a long-term military aid pact with Menrvan, who soon after claimed Liberty as their protectorate.   Today, Menrva has no official control of Liberty's politics and doesn't attempt to, and Liberty is a most loyal ally to Menrva, always joining its side in all international issues.

Agriculture & Industry

Liberty is certainly a more industrial power, focusing heavily on its rich mineral deposits for economic gain. Its land isn't very sutiable for farming, although the thriving freshwater life in the Freeman's Lake, Disobedient Lake, and Lake of Rebellion, as well as the many rivers of Liberty serve as Liberty's primary food source, especially the massive freshwater filterfeeding fish native to the Lake of Rebellion, the freshwater reef of Freemen's Lake, and the massive kelp forests of Disobedient Lake. The remainder of Liberty's food comes from trade with Menrva.

Trade & Transport

The Hyperloop system used by Menrva is also used heavily in Liberty.

Education

Liberty's education system is very similar to Menrva, having used Menrva as a model for a good country.

Currency
Liberty uses Toka, and bases its local Toka minting on Menrvan minting.   Libertarian Toka are made by Liberty, although no Liberty vendor will refuse Menrvan currency. The major differences in Liberty and Menrvan Toka is the design on the coin or plate: Menrvan Toka usually have more intricate and traditional designs, rarely featuring people, while Libertarian Toka usually has a simpler design and often has the national animal on the back, the Menrvan Savanna Cockatrice, as its parental fury protecting its chicks resonates with how Menrva protects Liberty from attack.
Major Exports
Liberty is a key component in Menrva's Qurik Support Gear industry, supplying many materials.   Kieva Rus, one of Liberty's largest trade partners beyond Menrva, also obtains over 87% of its caviar from LIberty.
Major Imports
Liberty mostly requires manufactured goods and non-aquatic food, as its land is terrible for growing food, and Menrvan Wood Cockatrice are too common to raise livestock easily.

Peace, Trade, Protectorate

Menrva will automatically invade any nation stupid enough to attempt an assault on Liberty. Liberty is no where nearly strong enough militarily to swing the tides of Menrva's personal defense in any meaningful way, but Menrva doesn't need much assistance.   Usually, however, Liberty will cancel all trade and close off their borders to any nation that attacks Menrva.

Non-Aggression Pact

Both nations hate each other with a passion, with even worse diplomatic relations than Menrva and the CSA have, which is already frosty on the best of days.   They only have a non-aggression pact as it was part of the Menr-American War's peace treaty.
