Having met several years prior, Lilly Martay recognized Marshal Aetius’ growing political aspirations, as well as his clout within the military and Honorguard recognizing him as a strong potential ally they became close. Kex recognizing her unending drive to gain recognition saw her as a useful tool should he ever need Council backing and as such fostered this in to a strong political relationship, yet still never fully trusting Councilor Martay.
