Azrazata

The Azrazata were originally founded in 68 P.U. within the Estarin Empire by luxury goods Merchants seeking a larger power base from which to negotiate. The guild moved their headquarters to Verger in the Drastunov League in 368 P.U. seeking to ingratiate themselves to a newly formed nation. In years since their formation the Azrazata have expanded to encompasses all areas of trade not just the trade of luxury goods. Very few independent traders manage to earn a living without paying a membership fee to the Azrazata, as they find their suppliers limited and prices exorbitant.
Members of the Azrazata come from all walks of life from the ore traders of The Sheltered Mountains to the exotic Esskern Bonedust sellers of Xocrusia. Guild members often try to one up each other by haggling for the best prices and bragging about the coin they've earned. The coffers of the Azrazata are said to be the deepest in Devorn and each member of the guild pays a yearly membership fee to remain a part of the organisation. In return the members of the Azrazata are allowed the use of guild resources and contacts in pursuing the greatest profits.

Structure

The leader of the Azrazata is known as the Master of Coin and is responsible for overseeing the the guild coffers and balancing the Azrazata Ledger. There is only one Master of Coin at a time and they are elected by the guild members to serve seven year terms, an individual may serve three concurrent terms as Master of Coin before they must wait at least two full election cycles before seeking re-election. 
Beneath the Master of Coin are the Masters of Trade who are individuals of considerable personal wealth who oversee the trade of a particular type of good within the guild. The Masters of Trade are also responsible for collecting the yearly membership fee paid by members of the guild including the Master of Coin. 
Beneath the Masters of Trade are the Crested Merchants who buy and sell goods to inflate the coffers of the guild itself rather than for personal gain, they are however well compensated for their efforts. Crested Merchants also act as the auditors of the guild ensuring that each member is paying the correct amount in membership fees.
Beneath the Crested Merchants are the Associates who make up the rest of the membership of the guild. These are the affiliated independent Merchants who pay their yearly membership fees and make use of the guilds resources.
