Mental characteristics
When Cosmos was around forty years of age, his left eye began deteriorating at a fast rate. Rather than simply allow it to do so, Cosmos chose to stage an accident during training and had a servant cut his left eye, leaving an impressive scar that Cosmos had tattooed in gold.
When Cosmos was of twelve summers, his father sent him out into the world for a time. Cosmos found a temporary job in
Kant as a laborer, working for a rich family with a fairly large business empire for the time. While Cosmos was there, he witnessed one of the other children being attacked, and something so terrible happened that Cosmos cannot even remember what it was. All that he knew was that he never wished to return, and when he came home that is what he told his father. But Emperor Citrine did not heed his son's words, and in a year Cosmos was forced from the home again, towards
Kant. He took a job as a blacksmith's assistant instead, but the same family he had worked for last time had great control over the economy and the goings-on there, so when Cosmos expressed his hatred for them they heard, and they responded. Cosmos was lying in his cot at night when they arrived, and he returned home three days later, traumatized, injured, and worst of all, his Projected was completely, utterly unresponsive. Cosmos has always blamed his father for what happened, and this anger eventually led him to murder his father and drive his mother away. Once he had become Emperor, Cosmos wasted no time in executing that family.
Personality Characteristics
Cosmos believes in cleanliness, and is constantly well-groomed and shiny, even when traveling.
Social
Cosmos lives in the castle with his wife, Sundrop, and his firstborn son Ruby. His second son Zircon has gone out on his own to join the military.
Cosmos speaks slowly and deliberately, commonly pausing the conversation to think for an extended, silent period. He is friendly when he must be, and he is intimidating when he sees weakness. In short, he is charismatic, and his years of social training have taught him to know exactly what he is doing.
Has a Projected like almost all fae, but it is quiet and weak, unresponsive to Cosmos's coaxing. It lay still in his room all day, like a worthless glowing object, but for the childhood bond that Cosmos remembers.
Has a nobly British accent, like all of the fae.
Relationship Reasoning
Cosmos needed a wife, to bear his children. Sundrop was perfect for him. And she- well, who would say no to the Emperor? So they were married.

History
Bluejay did not spend much time raising Cosmos, her firstborn son. She allowed the servants, the maids, the gardener, anyone who was not her to do it for her. But as Cosmos grew older she knew that this was a mistake. The first time he went out on his own, and then returned, she saw a traumatic change in him. But her husband did not listen to her concerns, and Cosmos was sent out a second time. This time when he returned, it was not long before he murdered his father, Bluejay's husband, and attacked her. She was forced to run away, and she has not seen him since. Yet she cannot be too angry with him, for she feels she knows how much he has suffered, and does not think that she can hold it against her own son.
History
Ever since he was a boy, Zircon knew his ultimate fate: that he would not be a part of the family, and would instead go out on his own, to join the military and fight for his people. He knew that he might, even, work directly under his father at one point. But he would not be able to treat Cosmos as his father, and Cosmos would not treat Zircon as his son. That knowledge became a reality when Zircon became of twelve summers, and left the home to join the army. Sometimes he spots Cosmos giving a speech, but Zircon never attempted to speak to him.
The wealthiest man in Tsaraknit, but not on the continent. Cosmos owes debts to several mercenaries that he hired to commit unsavory deeds, but does not plan to reward them.
