Family History Challenge 2024

In honor of Family History Month and my passion for genealogy, I'm hosting an unoffical challenge! This challenge is a simple prompt challenge: write an article about anything related to family research.

This is not limited to family trees or articles about families though! Anything even vaguely related to the field of genealogy can be written about.

Does your world have censuses, if so, how do they work? What kind of official archives are there? Are there peoples with explicit traditions in documenting or tracking family lines? How about words for family relationships that does not exist in English? What kind of documents exist that can be used to track someone's life later on? Be creative and stretch the prompt as far as you'd like!

Rules

1. One entry per user
2. Any type of article template can be used
3. Articles must be at least 300 words
4. Entry must be created and written within the timeframe of the challenge

How to enter

1. Write and post your article (it must be public!)
2. When finished, comment below with a link to your entry
3. Congrats, you're done! If you want to you can add the participation badge wherever you'd like (find the code in the sidebar!)
4. Read the other entries and leave some love! Interaction makes the community go around

Judging

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

1. Overall Overall impression and content of the entry
2. Creativity How creatively you approached the prompt
3. Intergration How well your entry is intergrated with the rest of your world

Guest judge for this challenge is Chris, a world builder and teacher (and soon to be WA user if I have a say). I'm a hobby genealogist with 10+ years experience and forever world builder.
