Drakokrystals

Drakokrystals can be quickly described as a kind of Magic battery. When the Energy stored within is used, it will slowly refill over time. If it is completely drained at one time, there is a change it could shatter and become worthless.
They hold an amount of Magical Energy that varies based on size and color of the Krystal (this also effects recharge time). They can be used by Manifesters to cast spells.
They are sometimes an ingredient in Alchemical recipes. Many times these potions will require the Krystal to be in a powdered form, when ground down into this form they very quickly loose the Magic that was held inside.
They are also sometimes used when trying to Enchant an object.
Drakokrystals can be found underground all over the world. It is theorized that these are from ancient Dragons. The other source of Krystals is as a byproduct of a Full Dragon's digestive system. As long as they are well-fed, a Dragon will expel from their body anywhere from one to a few dozen Krystals once every two months. The quantity and quality depend on diet and other health factors.
