Iemis
Iemis is an intermediate god of light, worshipped by the Church of the Eternal Flame. Iemis’ original blessing was to the church, when he gifted them with a magical flame that would give his followers arcane abilities so long as the flame stayed alight. The flame has burned for millenia, and continues to give power to the clerics of Iemis. Iemis appears as an older human in half plate armour, with grey hair reaching his shoulders and eyes glowing bright as the flame he gifted to his temple.
Divine Domains
Iemis' divine domain is Light.
Artifacts
The Eternal Flame is located in Iemis' temple in Tunstead, Eclania. It is closely guarded by the Keepers of the Flame, an elite guard force chosen by Iemis himself.
Another artifact of Iemis is his sword, named Moravir, roughly translating to Firebringer, which remains in Iemis' posession, but it is said he may eventually gift this sword to his most devoted and deserving follower.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Iemis' symbol is an open upwards hand containing a golden flame.
Holidays
Clerics of Iemis must make a journey to the central Temple of the Eternal Flame to receive a blessing from the Head Priest of the Eternal Flame at some point in their career. This ritual is known as the Rebirth, during which the cleric steps into the Eternal Flame to commune with Iemis and determine if they are truly devoted to him. If they are not, they are burned by the flame, but if their intentions are found to be true, they emerge with a part of the flame in their eyes, and are given a new name by the Church.
"My love for you burns stronger than the flame of Iemis. So please, if you'll listen to anything, listen to me when i say you don't want to do this."
