Zaman (Za-man / Z'-mahn)
Zaman is the god of time, wisdom, and fate. His symbol is a sundial.
Description
Zaman was most frequently portrayed as an elderly man carrying a variety of objects ranging from sundials, tapestries, scrolls, and sometimes even a single eye. He was considered the fosterer of destiny and represented the passing of time. When depicted as part of the Dual Faith, he was shown stood between Sanssiz and Talih, looking out towards the future which the other two gods squabbled to direct.Religion
Followers of Zaman were known to engage in divination magic, acting as the 'truth' of fate. Much like Talih and Sanssiz, he was seldom directly followed as a sole god, but was often discussed in relation to the other two. His primary worshippers were divination wizards and members of the Dual Faith pantheon. Zaman was also a feature of the Order of the Enlightened pantheon. Within this pantheon he was viewed as the truth of matters, forethought, and the wisdom to act rationally. Within this view he was worshipped by advisors and historians. The holy day for Zaman was Fate's Edge, celebrated on the 30th of Frosting. The day was celebrated as the last day of the year and was a day of reflection on the past years events. His worshippers took the day to make commitments for ways to better themselves in the coming year, hoping that Zaman would see their goals come true.Alignment: Neutral
