When he was 100 years old, Doc Halsey was among the original settlers of Ambergulch. Some of his family stayed behind in Canebor, while he has had more kids since arriving on Trast. They have since moved on and spread out across the continent seeking new ventures. Halsey instead stayed in Ambergulch and his mind has started to degrade with age, though he's maintained his energy.

Ever the skilled chemist, Doc Halsey continues to practice his craft into his senior years, though his abilities have waned and he now just throws random ingredients together to see what works.
