Iqari

Dynos' largest continent, Iqari spans much of the world's southern hemisphere and further stretches north past the equator. Most of the habitable parts of the continent are now controlled by the Maia'desh Empire, with only scant settlements along the Qarash Sea as of yet remaining independent.

Geography

The southern third of the continent is a bitter tundra, including much of the Altaan Basin encircled by the Ice-Crowned Range on the west and Glinted Peaks on the east, stretching down to the planet's south pole. The continent's middle third is largely covered by temperate forests and plains, and contains the majority of its civilization. And finally the northern third is home to the vast Obari Desert, capped by dense rainforest on the northernmost shore. Iqari also rests above the world's largest known network of subterranean tunnels and expansive caverns, though this so-called "underdark" remains mostly unmapped by surface dwellers. The Maia'desh Empire has deemed it too dangerous to attempt to map further nor utilize for travel. The locals refer to it as Nijubari.
