Session 14, "Boromar Ball". 28 Therendor 998 YK Report
General Summary
Intro
When we last met, the newly-christened Sharn Dragons met with "Tyrant One" who had expressed a keen interest in working with the adventuring party in an exchange of services. They learned from the changeling leader that Cavallah had moved her operation down into Khyber's Gate, below the city in the area known as The Cogs. To cement their relationship, Tyrant One asked the party to liberate one of their informants in the Daggerwatch Garrison, a changeling by the name of Waz that had adopted the persona "Nigel Shattershield". The Sharn Dragons were successful in their attempt to secure the young changeling, and learned of some deep corruption in the Daggerwatch Garrison, including Commander Lian Halamar himself. Returning to the Crooked Mirror, the party learned that after some goblin rioting in The Cogs that morning, three Boromar halflings (including Tye Copperkettle) were killed. Mala Boromar d'Jorasco, the family matriarch, spoke to the Sharn Dragons after a somber Boromar Family meeting to invite them up to the Boromar Mansion in Hareth's Folly to discuss what her husband, Saidan Boromar, needed from the party.

24 Therendor Erisna: Secured the King's Road
Glittergem & Rare: Distributed fruit with Bodhrán Moor in Dragoneyes.
Therin: Side Quest #2, meeting with Seraphina Boromar.

Glittergem: Caroused at Tinker's Green Dragon. While drinking she heard the goblin tell her a story that didn't sound right, but was too lit to know what was off.
Rare: Visited her wife Eain The Paneceum and paid House Jorasco to maintain her there for another month, cost750 galifar.
Therin: Side Quest #2, visited Meshindi Vargas' widow Sheena and their children Veera (f, 7) and Berundi (m, 5), anonymously paying them 500 galifar.
26 Therendor Erisna: Healed victims at the Cathedral of the Cleansing Flame with Donal Stone. He had to leave early, claiming Archbishop Deterich Eingelmann was suffering from "night terrors".
Glittergem: Took the day off to "treat herself".
Rare: Caroused at Tinker's Green Dragon.
Therin: Practiced with his alchemical set.
27 Therendor Erisna: Healed victims at the Cathedral of the Cleansing Flame
Glittergem: Attended Grigi's inaugural performance at the Crooked Mirror on the new stage. Glancing around the room she saw many of the regulars, including the blokes she competed against in the drinking game earlier in the month. Of note, The Spider also attended this performance, as well as several other new patrons. The performance wasn't good, but her horrible voice was amplified by some amazing acoustic equipment!
Rare: Audited one of Bodhrán's classes in the Hadrill Gardens at Morgrave University. There she learned about Fernian Wood and took some notes on its constructive and alchemical properties. The class cost her2 galifar.
Therin: Practiced with his alchemical set, setting off a chain reaction that led to an explosion of gas and powder, smelling distinctly of mustard, to permeate his apartment.
28 Therendor: The Boromar Ball
[aloud]The path you take through Hareth's Folly is a meandering one as walks through this district often are. Hareth, a historically mad architecht, built this district based on existing structures from across Khorvaire, and later based on visions he believed came from Onatar himself. While many of the taverns, shops, and homes of this district are in the familiar style found throughout Sharn, they are juxtaposed by strange and exciting buildings that excite and amaze you. In particular, a verdant green, onion-shaped dome atop a squat spire reminds Therin of his earliest memories of childhood, while Glittergem shudders at the sight of a densewood longhouse nestled beside a chateau in the Aundairian style. One building stops Erisna in her tracks, a gossemer dome made of glass and wood over a stone pyramid. To Rare, this is yet another display of the variety that can be found in this new world you live in.The Sharn Dragons attended the Boromar Ball as additional (undercover) security in the great hall as the elite members of the city socialized. Many of the city's elite were represented, including a cross-section of the nobility, senior ranking members of the Sharn Watch, and members of the Council of Sharn. The Dragonmarked Houses were conspicuously absent. The party opted to remain in the great hall, both Rare and Glittergem opting to adopt formal attire. Taking extra care to secure both Saidan Boromar and his wife Mala Boromar d’Jorasco, the social hour appeared to go without a hitch. During the dinner, Ilsa Boromar began to drunkenly rave about the direction her house was going, but was cut short by a fast-acting poison that killed her instantly at her seat. The Sharn Dragons immediately jumped into action, chasing after Katerin Muhra as she fled into the tall grass behind the mansion. Therin caught up to the assassin, but only after Seraphina Boromar's pet raptors found her first. The rogue thought quickly and used his commanding presence and familiarity with the duo to get them to back off, before forcing her to consume a health potion to restore some of her vitality and dragging the woman back toward the mansion. Surrounded, the assassin looked up at the group of adventurers looming over her. Her face broke into a weak, bloody, and toothless smile before an explosion sounded from the other side of the mansion...

Seraphina Boromar is leading these halflings as the sergeant of the guard. The Sharn Watch has a skycoach patrolling the skies above the mansion to prevent aerial incursion.
