Great Maw

Separating the sister continents; Kasetia and Skortenia, from Tila'thyu is the Great Maw. An expansive ocean stretching across both hemispheres, the Great Maw is the largest body of water to have been traversed by man, elf, dwarf or any other humanoid for that matter.

Geography

The Great Maw has the sister continents in the west, and Tila'thyu to the east, with a collection of archipelagos throughout the center.

History

There's little to say about the Great Maw. It's incredible size effectively limits the ability for anyone to control it - though it has experienced incredible change once in its history. During the Time of Absent Magic, the flood that tore throughout the entire region effectively broke many of the land bridges that connected the small pieces of land found around its centre. This led to the creation of the many islands that can now be found in that region.
