Cadain

(a.k.a. The Dreamer)

Cadain was a Simra, the youngest child of the Lady Miranelle, goddess of the stars. His name meant "hope," and he was known as a character of boundless joy and innocence. He saw the world as it was, apprehending all the knowledge he could, and always finding reason to believe that good would triumph—if not in every situation, at least in the end, when it really mattered. He met the future with joy, and practiced applying the truth he saw and learned to see that it always pointed towards what was beautiful and good. He loved children, always asserting that they saw the world more clearly than any adult ever could.   Though his brother and sister both wrote prolifically, Cadain was far less a scholar than they and only a few letters written in his hand have survived. However, several instruments and paintings produced by him are preserved, several of which are kept at the temple to Miranelle in Geldereth, others of which are housed at his mother's temple in Hemejdd.   Cadain was brother of Adurien and Valedith. He married a human woman named Ferra, with whom he had several children before she passed away. He never remarried.
