Princess Bria Lorraine

Princess Bria Lorraine was a princess of Jeltir, daughter of King Himnerith Matyus and his third wife Metylda. She was wife of Lord Maddox Lorraine of Prestir; mother of Lennox, Hildberta, and Percival Lorraine; and sister of Prince Roze and Prince Agamnis Matyus.
Bria was much beloved by the whole kingdom. She was a loving mother and enjoyed visiting smaller settlements to meet their children and offer assistance for their safekeeping, founding multiple orphanages and paying for medical services from her own pocket. She spent much of her time traveling and was known to go on adventures at various points, nearly always in the pursuit of altruistic ends. She was seen casting magic on multiple occasions, and claimed to be a sorceress. There has been much speculation on the true source of this power, and, if it did indeed come from her bloodline, presumably through Metylda, how it was introduced.
At the age of 34, while looking for two teenagers who had gone missing from the Xysaadite hamlet of Sendburg, Bria and her two adventuring companions at the time were captured by a large band of goblins, who tortured all three of them to death. The party's tracks were followed and the goblins at last found and slaughtered three weeks later. Bria's death was met by shock and grief the kingdom over, and spurred an everlasting hatred for goblins among the populace. Even now, many warriors who enter into combat with goblins call the battle cry, "For Bria."
