Avacyn, Angel of Hope
Avacyn, the Angel of Hope is a celestial being that serves as Ely Lunam's guardian.
After the attempted kidnapping of Ely and Veda's son by Nakaba, Avacyn took both Ely and Téo away to the heavens for safety. Knowing that her actions would not likely be approved of, Avacyn opted to keep this a secret from her fellow celestial comrades.
Avacyn kept an eye on Veda as she travelled Kureta looking for answers. Forbidden to intervene with mortal affairs however, she could only look on from afar as Veda's hopes to be reunited with her family began to dwindle. Unable to bear the weight of Veda's sadness, Avacyn visited Veda in a dream (Veda's Dream - 22nd Sectin) to offer some words of comfort.
This visit to the mortal world did not go unnoticed however, as a particularly meddlesome Deva witnessed Avacyn's misstep, and reported it to the court of angels.
Avacyn and Ely were tried in court by Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice herself, and found guilty of breaking the laws of the heavens. As punishment, Avacyn has been stripped of her divinity and forced to live on the material plane.
