General Summary
Collective Action (Team) arrive in Aztaun and head to the Church of Afflencia
They meet Kendra Ravenscroft, head of the church and fill her in on their findings at the Dora Lake
Kendra calls in a Halfling called Midasia Appledore, who apparently has just arrived from the Kureta City branch of the church
After a line of questioning, Midasia admits to being the one who hired the guards that took Jarethir's caravan off-road. Realising that she can't possibly escape this armed group of adventurers, the Halfling confesses to not only being Mayor Leon Jay's cousin, but also a warlock in service to the Archdevil Greed
Midasia had overheard Leon Jay speaking to Lord Fangcrusher about his scheme against Kaiz, and decided to use the kobolds for her own. She didn't realise the kobolds served a dragon however, so her plan to retrieve the Staff of Gold herself immediately fell through
Midasia agrees to help the party with her cousin and the dragon, provided they help to reduce her criminal sentence
The party head to the mayor's estate with Midasia in tow, and confront him about the dragon
The mayor refutes the claims that he hired the dragon and has the party ejected from his estate, but not before Meepo is able to sneak off to the study
Distracted by jewels and books, Meepo is unable to find anything useful and has to jump out of the window before guards find him
The party regroup, then head back to the Dora Lake to slay the dragon
The dragon proves to be a deadly enemy, its potent acid breath causing great devastation
The wyrm is eventually defeated however, and the group recover the Staff of Gold along with some other magical loot
Midasia is allowed to sneak off as thanks for her assistance, and even given some gold by Celine
The loot along with the dragon's head is loaded onto the cart
With the dragon killed, the party find that the kobolds have scarpered. They find Jarethir and reunite him with the Staff of Gold. He gives his thanks to the group, and promises a reward when they meet again in the capital
The party agree to take Jarethir to the trade road, before parting ways and heading back to Takari Peak
