Madame X {Organisation}
Madame X is the name of an organisation that offers people mental escapes using Magic. Although not technically illegal (as there aren't yet any laws against it) it is seen by many as being akin to visiting a brothel, and so frowned upon by civil society.
"Madame X" is also the pseudonym of the organisation's leader.
Public Agenda
Madame X presents itself as providing a duty of care to those who can afford their services. They promise to alleviate their customers of their stresses, leaving them feeling happy and whole. Despite accusations that what they are doing isn't right, the organisation always maintains their innocence, never showing any concern for the accusations.
Assets
The organisation has establishments across Kureta and beyond, and can be found in most cities, and some towns. The organisation charges a fair amount for their services, and is quite wealthy for it.
History
Madame X was founded in 1850 KCB in Kureta City, by a Human woman of the same name. The elusive leader of the organisation is rarely seen in public, and it is speculated that she does not originate from Ekina - having shown up around the time many off-worlders were beginning to arrive on Ekina.
As off 1870 KCB, Madame X have opened establishments in cities and towns across Kureta, Sonkai, Polemis and Colere.
Despite various attempts made by law enforcement and other powerful figures to close down the business, Madame X remains firmly instituted, and well-known across the land.
