Session 2.12

General Summary

After helping out a hamlet from the flooding, the party had crossed the Mongave River for their last leg of the return trip to Labrie. On the way the group passed through the familiar Draywood Forest, site of the caravan attacks that halted all land based trade. It is here where Zhorn, Fannti, and the Priestess had met the siblings(Avery, Christopher, and Surrey), who were the source of trading caravan heists.   On one of the days of travel Fantti had located a cave that provided for adequate respite from the elements. But first, wanting to ensure its safety, Priestess Luna, Zhorn, Fannti, and Babarat went to explore the network of subterranean chambers, and stumbled upon spider broodlings that had claimed multiple lives evidenced by scattered bones throughout the cavern. Back at camp Rhorn remained with the villagers, but faced a similar attack of Spider broodlings, but with a combination of strength and skill along with the assistance of Dorad, Sable, and Boggs, were able to get the group to safety without losing anyone. As a reward the Zhorn had obtained a mysterious pair of gloves embedded within the spider.
A day or two later the group finally made it back to Labrie and found a more vibrant community than when the party had departed a few weeks prior. Zhorn and Fannti had checked in on the three allies left to train the militia Maxine, Lowell, and Weatherby. They were surprised to see the party back so soon, excited to see the villagers in the group's company, but also concerned for the rest of the villagers who were still missing. During this check in the three of them also provided some updates.

• Lowell stated that training the militia has been going well, so well in fact that he expects volunteers to reach about 250.
• Weatherby had made use of the money left with him and began publishing Fannti's cookbook calling it Kitchen Fun with Fannti. 

After a few hours of conversation, the party had received summons from Mayor Goldemane who wanted a debrief on the past couple of weeks, and who also had a request for you. 
He stated that within a month or two the first LaBrie ships will be sending supplies to the Amethyst Isle.
As for his request, he had asked the party to head to the northern portion of the Carillon Isle(Quail Hollow) to meet with Mayor Selai Parse who had asked him about the party for aid with a situation they were facing.
Also during this meeting he had handed the group two unopened letters that were sent to the town, but for the party.
The first one Fannti read from Jeeves stated that the party had been granted an audience at the upcoming Summit of Nations in a little over a month.
The second one which Zhorn read, was a letter from the Reach from someone called the Inevitable One, who knows about the whereabouts of a few of your allies as well as your ties to Labrie, and that they would be in contact.
At the conclusion of this brief meeting with the Mayor, Priestess Luna used the Conch of Sending to reach out to Captain Spears to schedule a pickup of the group the party had now amassed. The captain said he was 4 days away from Port Labrie.
