Fannti
Not every hero’s story is uniform. In fact, some are even wild. Fannti's story is one of a curious loxodon, one with the ability to create magic both in and out of the kitchen. Fannti is a male Loxodon, from a one of the Largest cities in the Amber Coast knowns as Friermouth, a port city on the edge of the Desert of Perketch.
As a baby pacaderm, Fannti was separated from his biological parents and was attempted to be sold into slavery. However, under the provisions of the Iberrian Relocation Act, slavers were subject to give up their goods or risked a more severe punishment than one that was already in store. Luckily, Fannti was one of the goods that fell under that specific clause of the act. He along with other slaves were shipped and given lands in the southern portion of Central Iberrios. In this case farming lands outside of the village of Labrie.
It is here that his foster parents, his human father, a farmer named Jax, and human mother who worked serving food at the local tavern, Moira, raised the little Loxodon, as their own son. As a teenager Fannti learned how to work the land with his father, and the kitchen from his mother. He combined his love of both tasks and produced some amazing food as early as he could use a pot and pan.
One day Fannti's powers had begin to manifest. Once while helping out in the kitchen of the local tavern, Fannti had accidentally set the pan ablaze, even though the stove wasn't even lit. On a separate instance, Fannti, was coming home from work with a cold. Everytime he sneezed, flowers would spring up around him. Fannti’s life was changed when one day as the head chef of the tavern, there was a local festival, and there were adventures passing through town. The tavern was overwhelmed by adventures alike, so Fannti had asked his parents to assist. He and his parents were harassed to the point where there were threats on the lives of his parents bringing Fannti’s anger to a boiling point.
In an attempt to subdue the unruly patrons Fannti had waved a rolling pin at them accidentally casting a spell that he had been practicing, however, to his shock it had manifested in this red bubble. Upon making contact with the a vat of oil, the bubble had exploded causing a chain reaction, setting the entire tavern on fire. In a daze, Rannti found his way out and attempted to call others for help.
However, assistance came too late and a majority of the patrons in the building had perished. In a bout of depression, Rannti had decided to give up cooking and leave the town that had taken him in. He moved north to the village of Peche, where word of his cooking acumen had reached the owners of the Ox and the Ass, and was hired on to cook there.
