Session 2.13

General Summary

The party having finally completed their two week journey returned to Labrie. Upon summoning the Captain with the Conch of Sending the group had four days before the arrival of the Sea Hagg which was used to conduct some business prior to the departure of the new found family, friends, and allies. Some of the things that occurred or was addressed during this period included:
All the friends and family were situated in the Ocean’s Maid(local tavern & inn) complements of Mayor Goldemane.
Fannti:

• Had signed some cookbooks(Kitchen Fun with Fannti) for Weatherby who said he could make some extra gold for a book with an authentic signature. To reciprocate he had identified the gloves found during the spider attack. He states that it had provided a boost to Sleight of Hand or Lockpick skills.
• At the conclusion of this exchange Fannti had once again challenged the enterprising halfling to double the money given.
• During one of the days of rest Fannti had purchased 2 additional potions of healing as well as some herbs and seasonings(1 weeks worth) for the upcoming travel to Quail Hollow.

Priestess Luna

• During one of the days of downtime while praying in the temple of Chamet, the Firbolg Priest in training, was a little out of sorts with some of his experiences since joining the militia, to which words of advice and reassurance were offered which seemed to put him at ease for the time being.
• A fellow religious dwarf, Dorad, former paladin of the Cobalt Council and former refugee the party had rescued among others, had asked for some money(7GP), which was provided, to travel by boat to the Temple of Gorrin in the city of Cardona to speak with members of his former organization. He said afterwards he will attempt to find his way to the Amethyst Isle.

Zhorn

• As upon walking the streets of Labrie there were a handful of building sites, which the builders mention was that the mayor was beginning to construct wooden walls, and more residences in anticipation of an influx of citizens moving into the town.
• On a separate occasion, Zhorn had dropped in on one of Lowell’s training sessions and saw that he was doing a good job training the volunteers for the militia. It wasn’t perfect but it stirred up memories on the formation of the Peche militia.

Rhorn

• The elder of the hamlet that the party had saved from the flooding tributary approached stating that since the party had saved her and her people on multiple occasions she had agreed to go to the Amethyst Island under the group's protection.
• With Zhorn babysitting Dexter, there was finally an opportunity to be intimate with Abigail, and during these remaining days, prior to the arrival of the Sea Hagg, Rhorn had spent as much quality time with his family as possible.
• Looking for general information on the world, Rhorn stopped by the Sloopy Seconds and gathered:

1. There was a terrorist attack in Greenstone on an invention, which is a new form of transportation called a Magram
2. A few goliath tribes in the north had decided to band together to form a singular tribe.

On the last full day of downtime, it had happened to fall on the Festival of Lisandria, a continent wide celebration of the Goddess Lisandria filled with beautiful deep purples, blacks, and whites, there was music, and games, and food as well as toys all in the likeness of the Night Mother. It was a welcome reprieve from the burden that continues to rest on the party's shoulders.
Finally, the day of the Sea Hagg's arrival came, and right on time made port, and the party said their goodbyes to their friends, family, and new residents of the Amethyst Isle.
With the supplies and everything in tow, the party began the week long journey north towards Quail Hollow. On the second day of travel as you guys were relaxing for the day there was a severe tremor that lasted about a minute causing fissures and trees to fall in the immediate area. Thankfully, the party managed to withstand the earthquake and resumed the travels north.
Upon reaching the Hazy Hills the group stopped by an Aarakocra by the name of Garewing who was in search of assistance with a collapsed mine. He stated that in the mining town of Minyard, an Earthquake had trapped miners within one of the shafts with no escape. Agreeing to assist, the party raced towards the collapsed mine. With a combination of brains and brawn, the group managed to rescue the trapped miners from a further collapse.
Looking for a reward the party went to visit the owner of the Smores Mining company, Chairman Cole SmOres, in his estate located at the center of town. However, he was less than grateful for the party's assistance in rescuing his employees and stated that if the group wanted a reward to seek it out from the miners whose lives the party had saved. Afterwards, the group headed to Big Rhonda’s for a drink, but not before hiring the Chairman's personal bodyguard for whatever means the party had planned.
