Session 2.26

General Summary

In the aftermath of the Terra Trial the party was left in the arena of Starfall Crater with Zhorn basking in the glory of his new leadership position as Lord of the Wood Elves on Amethyst Isle as a result of Lord Luthien’s dying wish. With Lord Claremont having departed with Princess Arawen, and Lord Luthien’s body being taken out shortly thereafter on a similar processional transport that the party had used just a few short hours prior.
Prior to departing the arena, Zhorn was stopped by one of Lord Luthien’s advisors, Master Everen Stardew, who had requested that Zhorn stop by the Wood Elf stronghold of Hearthendel to address his new people and settle the affairs of the former Forest Lord. As the new Lord of the Wood Elves, Zhorn was bestowed with his own personal transport complete with a pair of smarter than expected wood elk which the group used to return to the keep, but not before Rhorn had decided to take both halves of the slain assassin corpse with which Priestess Luna was able to ascertain a few pieces of information some valuable, others lead to more questions.
This assassin:

• Was directly subordinate to Master Everen
• Had no direct family members
• Did have a lover who lived amongst the Drow
• Goal was to get Lord Luthien to lose the Terra Trial

After the two hour trip, back at the keep the festivities were still in full force, and the party was able to catch up with the city’s new council members.
Winslow was regaling a handful of citizens with his fantastical stories. Lawrence had a gathered crowd who were brainstorming a new name for the city Abigail too had an audience, and she was addressing concerns of the remaining Peche refugees
At the end of the night, the group was paid a visit by Lord Claremont who had provided a formal document/treaty with generous terms where the Drow Lord promising protection for the city and it’s citizens against the creatures of the underdark, access to the subterranean silver mines, and the tools to help mine it. All of these benefits was to reciprocate the party unintentionally “allying” with the Drow.
Fannti seized this moment as an opportunity to present a united Amethyst Isle to enter the global political landscape at the upcoming Summit of Nations. Lord Claremont agreed to the alliance as well as considered Fannti’s proposal of elevating his daughter, Arawen, as an ambassador for his people. Before he departed he said he would lay low for a while to recover, and continue to investigate and root out the dissent among his ranks.
The following day the party headed to Hearthendell where Master Everen bestowed upon Zhorn, Lord Luthien’s effects including his Cloak of Elvenkind, his Nature’s crest, his sword named Erathil, as well as a Treehouse estate where the former Forest Lord resided. After that Master Everen had motioned for Zhorn to address the wood elves as well as the few Drow in attendance. Zhorn gave what started as an inspiring speech that quickly turned into a call to action to find those that had attacked him during Terra Trial. The speech was received with mixed reviews, but either out of fear, or respect, or sheer courtesy Zhorn received scattered applause afterwards.
