Session 2.32

General Summary

Following the party’s successful exploration of the Amethyst Isle, the final two week lead up to Fannti’s scheduled departure date was filled with more information gathering, as well as trying to tie up loose ends in the city as everyone was anticipating a prolonged time away from this new home.
Fannti:

1. Fannti and Priestess had poured over tomes scattered throughout the island, and had learned more about
2. The three craters and the secrets they hid.
3. During this time Fannti was also approached by Prince Renwick and Lady Arawen and was notified that they would accompany the group to Greenstone and to the Summit.

Priestess:

1. Similar to Fannti’s downtime activies, there was a lot of time spent skimming through different literature, however, unlike Fannti who was making inferences and drawing straight from the text, Priestess was able to make correlations to past experiences as a cleric of the Onyx Order.
2. Also during this downtime, Fannti and Priestess headed to the Underdark to visit Lord Claremont, to inquire about procuring more Nightsbane.
3. During this trip Lord Claremont had stated that he had his men actively attempting to procure Nightsbane as he informed that a tbsp of the substance which is the quantity it takes to subdue the nightmares equals about 10GP, but had warnings about prolonged use of the substance

Rhorn:

1. As part of the two weeks, Rhorn continued to help with the building and restoration of both the Sea Lass and the Amethyst Docks.
2. Using his knowledge of wood along with his novice skills of carpentry sped up efforts.
3. Rhorn was present when a new group of visitors arrived on the island who were promptly greeted and welcomed by Abigail.

Zhorn:

1. Captain Estes had approached Zhorn and had notified him that he had hand selected 10 tempest troopers for the guard detail to Greenstone. Also he had inquired about their responsibilities as the guard detail.
2. Master Everen had asked Zhorn to settle matters with the Eclipse prisoners, Idallin, and Terrian.
3. Finally per request, the Master of Banners had provided Zhorn with an assortment of 8 banners all saying “We Are Good,” and one that happened to be a misprint

During this time the party had received three letters:

1. Dorad Hammerforged, stating that he was authorized by his religious order, the Cobalt Council, to establish a temple on the island, and that he would be making his way as soon as he finds a way of getting there.
2. Lowell had provided the party with an update on Labrie and the training of the militia, the city’s expansion progress, and of course Weatherby’s budding business venture.
3. An official letter from a Vaniah Lorenzen arrived from the Union Capital reminding the group of the Summit of Nations, and to seek her out 30 mins prior to the beginning of the Ceremony.

All of these events occurred along the backdrop of the city preparing a modest yet well deserved celebration for the Festival of Misdanril.
A couple of days before the scheduled departure. Rhorn thought it would be a good idea to check up on Delpit, as the party had previously left it in a precariously volatile state with Fannti, Priestess, and Zhorn also joining in on the follow up visit. Upon arrival Fannti and Priestess felt it devoid of that powerful yet wild source of magical energy that was present when the group had last departed the area. Looking to investigate, Fannti chucked a torch and was met with zero resistance and as it fell, the light did not expose anything but a deep crater. 
While this was happening Rhorn and Zhorn noticed something up on the Heaven’s Reach Mountain Range reflecting the light of the moon, also its wings had projected what appeared to be a beautiful starscape on a beautiful space background. However, just as quickly as the two goliaths had spotted the creature, it had disappeared.
Naturally, the party decided to scale the mountain to track that creature. It was a challenging climb, but after a team effort the group found itself at the summit, but instead of the expected rocky landscape, what was present was a plateau with a beautiful garden and an orchard with fruit bearing trees. The fruit on these trees were so unique that Fannti could not help himself but grab one. But as he did it triggered a dense fog, and a blast of cold energy which struck Fannti. The assailant happened to be an older man by the name of Bium who had asked the party a series of questions, and after responding had revealed himself. He had answered the party’s question saying that he was protector of the island who was working with Lord Asos to find a solution to the Blight on the island.
