That is probably how the Ministry Transmogrifer quickly identified a "tree" that was, in fact, a Treant!
The Transmogrifer harvested a piece of the heart of this "tree", using it in an elaborate ritual to bind the will of a supernatural being into involuntary service.

Her greatest priority is to move her tree. It must not be where The Ministry last found it.
Her second-greatest priority is to find a new territory where The Ministry will not discover her tree.
Her third-greatest priority, a distant third yet still bright-burning in her soul, is to make "Master Farvald Kerner" and his mentor suffer excrutiating tortures for their presumption.
If … if she can foster growth in this alliance with the Druid Jesse Devonshire … provided he is no longer Will-Bound in service to the very Ministry she despises? That would, indeed, be a pleasing outcome.
But the latter three combined are worthless if Scaevola Aemula cannot safeguard her heart!
