Rivervale
Rivervale is a quaint and picturesque small town nestled along the banks of the meandering River Thistlebrook at a point where the river bifurcates for a short stretch. As part of the principality of Khurabil, it occupies a notable location on the major east-west trade route known as The Beltway, making it a hub for traders and travelers of various sorts.
Two bridges cross the Thistlebrook as it passes through Rivervale, The Moonlit Span to the south and the Gilded Arc to the north. Sometimes known as Sehanine's Bridge and Pelor's bridge, respectively. Between and below the two bridges is an island that the town has kept largely free of construction, called The Tranquil Gardens. The Tranquil Gardens is a host to a variety of rare herbs and plants. The locals seem to have a reverence for the sanctitiy of the island.
A favorite among locals and travelers alike, The Silver Flute Tavern is a cozy and inviting establishment. Its sign is adorned with a silver flute motif, reflecting its name. The tavern has a warm ambiance and is complemented by the melodious tunes of talented bards who often perform there as they travel The Beltway. The tavern's signature drink, the "Moonlit Elixir," is derived from local plants and is said to enhances one's pleasant dreams.
The Meadowgreen Market is the main market of Rivervale and sits on the eastern side of the Thistlebrook, lying between the two roads crossing the bridges of Rivervale. There is a mix of local artisans, traders, and farmers as well as ravellers moving along the Beltway gather here daily to trade a wide variety of goods.
