Relationships
Ydona is married to Adon and is close to her sister-in-law, Adia. Like many of the other chaotic good deities, she sees herself as Selena’s humble servant, continuing to serve her as she did as a mortal. Ydona is also close to Narrena, as Ydona is often a muse for Narrena’s followers, and their followers work together to host festivals celebrating the arts.
Ydona sees Asmodeus and Rhuxaros as her biggest adversaries as they stand against everything she stands for.
Appearance
Ydona appears as she did as a mortal. She appears as a half-elf with copper hair, sapphire eyes, and pale skin. She wears a low-cut, sky-blue tunic under a light brown leather corset as well as dark blue trousers.
Church of Ydona
Ydona does not have many followers, instead being mostly a goddess that people pray to and venerate through festivals, celebrations, and good-natured revelry. Unfortunately, those that do follow her tend to be those who long for the liberty she stands for, including slaves and rebels fighting oppressors. Ydona is also a popular patron among free-spirited and good-aligned adventurers, as they seek to spread joy where they roam. She is also the patron of many bards, for whom joy and the promise of liberty is their muse. Ydona, along with Narrena and Selena, is a patron to many Harpers.
Clergy
Ydona’s clergy are actually fairly numerous, despite her few followers, comprised primarily of clerics and bards. Her priests wear flowing robes of sky blue and white. She encourages all of her clergy into pursuits that promote revelry, the most common being the brewing of ale, wine, and, in the north, mead, though many practice song, dance, and acting as well.
Ydona also has a surprising number of liberators and redeemers, despite the fact that she is not a goddess of war. Her templars work closely with Adon’s followers to help bring freedom and liberty to the oppressed and spread joy throughout the world.
Temples and Shrines
Ydona’s temples are numerous and widely beloved, most having facilities for brewing alcohol, as well as gorgeous gardens and splendorous windows of stained glass tended and made by priests of Narrena, who co-tend the temples.
