Speaker

The speaker for the Twin Gods is the ordained leader of the Church of the Twin Gods. A speaker has always led the church, and it is believed that the Twin Gods, Alva and Tethyr, chose the speaker when they are born, foraging the Cilestic Connection and sending certain signs to reveal a speaker has been chosen.

Appointment

The Speaker is chosen at birth, and trains from that time to assume the duties of the leader of the church.

Duties

The Speaker has a duty to lead the church of the Twin Gods, using the knowledge gained from their connection to the gods. They offer wisdom and counsel to the leaders of the little kingdom, direct the efforts of the church in service to the kingdom, and act as the commander of the Order of the Twin Gods.

History

The speaker has always led the church of the Twin Gods. The Church itself was believed to have come from another world, following their gods as they fled from the destruction of their home. A speaker led the first humans into Ember, and helped to create the first human settlements. A speaker has directed the efforts of the church in service to the preservation of civilization for the entirety of the Age of Awakening.
