Personal history

Drys was born to the noble house Alavir in the year 906. She was born in a manor in Hearth Home, at which time a sign of the birth of a new Speaker was discovered. Drys spent her childhood split between her family and the church. She would live with her parents and siblings in the spring and autumn, and train with the church in the fall and winter. As a small child, she was assigned a bodyguard, Sir Orion of the order of the Twin Gods. Despite his somewhat Gruff exterior, they became fast friends, nearly inseparable. Orion taught her to shoot with a bow and swing a sword, as well to to swim and horse back ride. The church gave her a formal education in history, theology, magical theory, and many other things, and even taught her some magic. When Drys was 12, the old speaker, Vyrin of Amar, died in his sleep, and Drys assumed her position as Speaker for the Twin Gods.
