San Jons River

The San Jons River is a major shipping route through the interior of the Jakonian Peninsula. Offering access to the inland, it is currently controlled by the Free City of Augustin and important for its commerce. The river also acts as a natural border between the eastern provinces of the Jakonian Empire and the kingdoms of Kiralyno, Orrland, and Columba. The Nasite territories have long been kept separated from these states thanks to the San Jons River, which is a formidable obstacle to invasion from the west. Crossings are tightly controlled, and only a handful of old bridges exist, while ferries are heavily regulated.
