Waldküste

The Waldküste is the region west of the Coast of the Ancients and north of the Villages, while still remaining within the Jakonian Peninsula. It is bordered by the Emerald Coast to the west and the Jorgan Badlands to the north. The Waldküste is best known for the thickest forests and highest ground in the Jakonian Peninsula. It is in this region that the first hills arise out of the flat terrain of the peninsula. Most of the land is still fairly flat, and the overgrowth is thick in unsettled areas. The coast itself is remarkably overgrown, with few beaches and instead, the forests are known to go straight up to the water. There are few natural harbors in this region, although the Kissimmee and San Jons Rivers offer some anchorages for ships that engage in inland trade.
