Sigmund Rachiden

Sigmund Rachiden is the eldest child of the founder of the Rachiden Banking House, Yarabal. He was born to lead the family, but for the most part was not deemed particularly successful at this task, being consistently overshadowed by his younger siblings when they came of age. Sigmund spent a considerable amount of time serving in the criminal underbelly of Alsona, undertaking the less savory tasks required to help a young banking institution successful. These efforts helped to create the foundation his father built for the family's financial empire in the north. Eventually, he became what appeared to be the favored child. 
Under the advice of his sister, Sigmund was appointed to be the leader of the mission to the Jakonian Empire. His trailblazing efforts helped to identify possible high elf families to take over or supplant in the effort. He spent nearly a century simply observing the politics of the human empire and determining weak points and opportunities for the family's eventual move. He integrated well into other high elf communities and families, portraying himself simply as a disgruntled member of the Rachidens. His efforts ultimately were rewarded by placing Sigmund in charge of the Jakonian branch of the House when it was more firmly established, a position he holds with honor to this day.
