For the most part only their staves, wands, or other magic foci tools. Only to be used to protect Inarora from the Order of the Xoltin. Not allowed to be used on Ina herself.

Training

No amount of training can truly prepare a member for protecting Inarora. However, psychology, protection measures, crisis management training are all required before they can be considered. Some of these members are former embassy guards, and they have additional skills in swimming, criminal investigation, intelligence gathering, and more.

History

Briefly formed in 414 after Inarora Ahlweni Beservera had an incident at school with their cousin, alerting the rest of the city and subsequently the country and the Council of Sorcerers that she is the heir to Dasith's powers. In order to keep her under control and to avoid another incident, the Intelligence Agency and Council both agreed upon a unit dedicated to protecting them from the Order of the Xoltin and also to protect everyone else from them. Inarora's family would rather home school them and protect them from the OXes themselves, but it doesn't work that way.

What the unit and their owners don't quite understand is the humiliation that Inarora feels every they go anywhere and how hard it is to hang out with their friends. Having to go to school with escorts has singled them out in every way possible, giving bullies ammo to shoot at their target who just wants to be left alone.

Almost as soon as her father, Kaedan Beservera, gets into the position of High Seer in 415, he dismantles the Intelligence Ward, reorganizes the small unit after taking Inarora out of school temporarily, and finally has Inarora out of the grasp of the Council. The unfortunate aspect, however, is that this disbandment angers the Council because how dare he do that? But with the loss of the Intelligence Agency, now turned into community outreach centers, they have very little power left in End'oria.

On the plus side, it's not as though every member of this guard wants anything to do with protecting Inarora. A few befriend them, but a few do take their jobs more seriously. This has resulted in many conflicts between not only them and Inarora, but also them and her family. Understandably, of course.

Unfortunately, with the full disbandment, it means that Inarora is more open to attacks by the OXes, but Kaedan keeps some of the kinder members as protection for Inarora at home and when she's out and about. And once the OXes are disbanded, Kaedan sends the members on their way amicably. However, a few stay to help protect Inarora from her mother, Iris Morozov, since she too poses a threat to Inarora.
