Torm, the Hand of Righteousness
Torm was the Human’s god of duty, loyalty, law and righteousness. In his name, Humans wage just wars against what they believe is discord and evil. Torm teaches his followers to bring order and justice to all things, utilizing violence only when discourse has failed. Various knightly orders consider him their patron, and he has been known to bestow boons to great heroes even on opposing sides of conflicts. During the Banite Usurpation of Riblaltia, cultists of Bane and Shar performed a ritual that inhibited the Gods' otherworldly powers and bound his spirit to the Material Plane. The cultists of Bane had infiltrated Torm's temples and installed a tyrranical theocracy in Ribalt. Eventually, mortal heroes uncovered the plot and located the spirit of Torm, bound to mortal form. These heroes managed to topple the servants of Bane and restore Torm to his full power in the Upper Planes. Torm appears to mortals as a knight in full plate mail, sometimes with a helmet, sometimes with the head of a lion.
