Dark Elf
Dark Elves, once known as Grey Elves, were sent beneath Erde when their goddess, Lauxa, went against her mother, Anka, in the Celestian War and led them against their people. It was their punishment for choosing Lauxa’s side, never to see the sun again. They wandered the underground world, eventually picking large caverns to settle in and create their homes.
Dark Elf settlements can be found throughout Obscuris, this underground network of caves and tunnels. High Priestesses of Lauxa rule these settlements with an iron fist, their doctrine as law through the word of their goddess. A few dark elf cities have managed to break this cycle, with male rule breaking forth in the name of Lauxa’s twin brother, Varalic. Varalic was removed from the Moon Elf pantheon, along with his daughter Pelera, by his mother Anka when they chose not to take sides.
Dark Elves are named for their ebony skin. They keep long white, ivory, or silvery hair in ornate styles. Their eyes are generally red, pink, amber, or orange. They are the shortest elves, with heights between 4’8” and -5’5”. Males are usually taller than females.
