Shartal (Shar-tahl)
Shartal is the largest of the three Western Galean kingdoms, as it makes up almost the entirety of the southern region. Its western and southern borders meet the coast of the Actean Sea and Brigand’s Bay, and its eastern border meets with the Keleshin mountains. A large part of northern Shartal is desert, populated mostly by nomadic traders and desert creatures.
The capital city of Hazamal is located on the Southwestern shore of the kingdom. It’s not a large city, but it is a hub of trade for the kingdom, which ships going to many places throughout Erde, such as Calehan, Eternia, and Sielen. Shartal’s other port city, Erom, is slightly larger. Erom is well known as a main sea route through Brigand’s Bay to reach Eastern Galea. It is also well known for its gambling dens and other havens where you can play games of chance.
King Hazyan Duskwall has ruled Shartal for many years. His wife, Queen Ophera, died giving birth, leaving him with only his son, Prince Emeros. Ekros has never been the same after the loss of Ophera, and only in recent years has he started becoming more involved in his kingdom again.
