Session 1 Report

General Summary

The call for adventurers has been put out from Olorlay and people across the nation and a few from beyond answered the call. Two existing mercenary groups, the Wolfpack, lead by the son of the lord of Wolfgar, and the Dragonfangs, a group of Dragonborn/Dragontouched agrred to take part. The rest of the participants were split up into 4 other groups, one group in specific had a strange collection of individuals, Hell Vasso a Goliath Fighter, Luptus Fontaine a Gnome WIzard, Nyx Eilhart a Human Witch, Hot Cross Buns a Harengon Cleric, and Talora Everbright a Fairy Druid. They were told that there are a number of tasks available for them, however they would need to pass a test.
The test turned out to be a fight against wolves within an arena just outside of the city, during the fight however, both Buns and Talora refused to fight the wolves as they had been imprisoned and forced to fight. Talora was able to persuade most of them to break down the gate and flee, however they were all shot down by the guards waiting. Talora and Buns, both upset retired to a tent to rest, while the rest of the party remained outside to watch the remainder of the fights. The rest of the fights were unremarkable, until the Wolfpack came to fight. The Dire wolf managed to push past the Goliath bodyguard and attacked Kerron Wolfgar, the leader of the group. When the wolf attacked Kerran his armour seemed to emit a barrior protecting him, the rest of the party was quickly able to clear up the rest of the wolves.
The party was told that they had passed the test, however there was one more trial they could attempt if they wanted to, and if they performed well there would be a reward. The final trial turned out to be a troll, which the party was able to dispatch of quickly, to thunderous applause. The Lord appreciated not only the party's martial prowess, but also their attempt to resolve the fight without killing the wolves, stating not all problems requires a violent solution. The Party was then provided with the first choice out of 4 different options, while both Talora and Buns noticed Kerrans specific interest in the Bandits hiding out in Skamber, the party decided to try and find information on the missing peoples case within Drinlo.
