Kishar
The Whole Earth Kishar
The daughter of Lahamu and Lahmu, the first children of Tiamat and Abzu. She is the female principle, sister and wife of Anshar, the male principle, and the mother of Anu. Kishar represents the earth as a counterpart to Anshar, the sky. It is said that heavy storm clouds are Kishar's breasts, and the rain that flows from them is her milk come to nourish the earth.
