Eilistraee (EYEL-iss-TRY-ee)
The Dark Maiden
Despite being the daughter of Lolth and the sister of Vhaeraun, most Drow know nothing of Eilistraee; matron mothers of the most powerful houses closely guard the scrolls that chronicle her existence. They retain them for the sake of remaining aware of the enemy they describe: a Drow god who would spirit away all of Lolth's worshipers to the surface world.
Eilistraee is the patroness and the protector of the few Dark Elves who long to return to the surface and live there, at peace with other races, and to abandon the endless conflicts and intrigues that dominated the lives of most Drow.
Eilistraee is a god of moonlight, song, dance, and, most important, the rejection of the evil ways of Lolth. Drow who feel like outsiders in their society, who react with disgust to the evils perpetrated by their kind, who come to the surface and fall in love with the stars-these are the ones who might be pleased to hear Eilistraee's call. If they respond to it by going to the surface and staying there, Eilistraee offers no guarantee of their safety and no promise of acceptance in the world above. But she opens her followers' hearts to the wonder of the nature in the night, and her songs and signs can show a Drow how to persevere in that alien environment.
She is thought of, by those who know of her, as a free-spirited and kind-hearted goddess, with a fiery streak in her personality. And while she could have maintained her position in the Seldarine alongside her father Corellon Larethian, she instead chose to follower her mother into exile so that she could provide light and guidance to the Drow when the time came.

Tenets of Faith
Many followers of Eilistraee, especially her clerics, strive to learn and promote arts, with a soft spot for music and dance, as well as teaching and passing along knowledge of particular pieces; songs and dances learned during travels, or created by them.
Often known to take care of broken musical instruments and repair them, or craft new ones; those who don't know the art often show support to bards by hiring them when they can afford it, using music as a way to promote joy and merriment in their communities.
Her followers all share Eilistraee's desire to see all races living in harmony, without pointless discrimination or wars, and work towards that goal tirelessly.
Worshiped through the art of song and dance, if at all possible in the surface world under the moon, her worship is usually accompanied by a feast.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Be always kind, save in battle with evil. Encourage happiness everywhere. Learn and teach new songs, dances and the flowing dance of skilled sword work. Promote harmony between the races. Befriend strangers, shelter those without homes, and feed the hungry. Repay rudeness with kindness. Repay violence with swift violence so that those that cause it can be quickly dealt with. Aid Drow in distress, and give them the Lady's message: "A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace and live beneath the sun again where trees and flowers grow."
Physical Description
Body Features
Avatar of the Goddess:
In her avatar form, Eilistraee appears as a Drow female of glowing beauty. She stands at around six feet tall, and has a lithe; graceful frame with strong limbs and glossy, obsidian coloured skin. She usually appears unclad, cloaked only by her ankle-length hair which shines with a bright silvery hue, and by motes of moonlight which are ever-dancing around her body. Her facial features bare great resemblance to those of her mother Lolth, with delicately sculpted features and shapes, but her eyes are larger with irises of shifting hints of blue moonstone.
