Purpose / Function

This mysterious yet wondrous tearoom has but one function to which it holds true - provide a safe, homely setting for lost and wandering Fey who have perhaps for the first time found themselves in the Material Plane and are in need of guidance and a means to establish themselves in the new world.   Enchanted with magic of the Seelie Court to draw Fey to it with a sense of adventure and belonging from all across Eternium, no matter where or how they reach the Material Plane, they will sense the draw of the tearoom and know safety is close at hand.

Sensory & Appearance

Upon entry to the Forgotten Cafey, customers are greeted by the potent sensation of magic and emotion. Heightened and powerful like the Feywild itself, every little feeling and thought is examplified to bring greater vibrance.   With the smells and sights of mid-Spring, the floral bouquets and grassy tones are warm to the senses as they sit under a pleasant sunshine all day, and all night.

Denizens

The entirity of the clientel of the tearoom are Fey or Fey descendants. As such it is commonplace to see all variety of Fey races within, such as:   Eladrin; Satyrs; Nymphs; Dryads; Harengon; Centaurs; Elves; Half-Elves; Satyrs; Fauns; Pixies; Sprites; Redcaps; Pseudodragons; Tressyms; Changelings; Unicorns; Cobalt Foxes and many, many more.

Architecture

The exterior of this one floor building is exceptionally quaint, constructed in an elegant half-timber style architecture with dark oak beams crossing over cream stone walls and framing delightfully decorated windows with diamond patterned glass. A thatched roof of straw and twigs captured the homely theme intended.   Beyond the oak door is a spacious meadow in eternal mid-spring with blooming flowers and lucious trees casting shade against a warm sun; butterflies and dragonflies of prismatic colours flutter from flower head to flower head and occassionally have to share with fuzzy bottomed bees, the sound of birds chirping in the swaying branches is melodic alongside the sound of flute music which seems sourceless and dainty.   The space is much larger than the exterior of the building would suggest, with dozens of picnic tables and blankets and toadstool seats scattered in small huddles for groups to enjoy pleasant and similarly minded company.   Near the heart of the space is a series of rounded counters surrounding a small selection of staff, with cakes and sweet treats, sandwiches and toasted breads to purchase alongside an abundant menu of drinks.

History

No one knows, remembers or cares when the Forgotten Cafey first arrived in Tor Alyn, its peaceful ways and serene temperment allows it a great deal of freedom in the otherwise arcanically cautious The Empire of the Rune Keepers.

Anyone caught in the act of hostility or insult is proptly banished from the establishment until they formally apologise to all who were offended by such a deed.   Additionally, due to the heightening effect of Feywild magic, clients will often find their Charismatic skills improved with an almost advantageous glimmer.
