Vanhu (Van Ooh)
Virtually unknown outside of the desert, dozens of Vanhu inhabit the Nuthra Sands.
The Vanhu of The Dragonlands speak their own tongue (Vanhuan) as well as common, Draconic and often Kobold too.
Organised into Vanhu - or Tribes - of several families each, their lives ar spent on the move from coast-to-coast and oasis-to-oasis, keeping heards of goats and camels and conducting trade amongst themselves, travellers and the people of Vlarith.
They are a secretive people and are believed to be simple nomads that didn't stay when the first settlements were erected.
Members of a Vanhu display signs of status in their long white robes, colourful turbans, their exquisitely tooled saddles, and the copper and silver hilts of their Takoba (Shortswords).
Their prowess in forging a life in the desert gives them wealth, valuable trade resources and a position of great influence. The are expert travellers who can ensure a caravan's safe passage - and also raiders who can disrupt or destroy even a well-defended caravan.

As with many other Vanhu, the Tonahhai are traders and warriors. What sets them apart is their wonderfully imaginative storytelling ability. They often tell tales of great cites and portals to other realms being hidden in the desert. Those whom have sought out the origins of these tales either return without any proof, or don't return at all.
Bahdabeni people are believed to be responsible for the plant growth found at the Oases across the Nuthra Sands. The are said to be born with Greenfingers and can turn their hand to farming in any climate.
Despite being well known, the Fetu people are seen as one of the more distant Vanhu. Their desire to remain separated comes from a deeply held believe that they are not "Of This World" and, after all these years, wish to return to their home in the Stars.

Each Vanhu is made up of several blood-families.
Each family has an Elder Representitive on the Vanhu Council.
The Vanhu Council will elect a Leader known as the Chieftain.
Once every few years, all of the Vanhu gather as one to celebrate their joint, but different cultures.
