Elves are the demihuman race that most closely resembles their human side in appearance. They are universally beautiful by human standards but have pointed ears, prominent cheekbones and thin bodies. Their skin can have any range of human skin tone but can also take on various metallic hues, most commonly gold, bronze, or silver. Many are intimidated by the elves ethereal beauty and detached demeanor but those who have befriended them actually find them to be mostly friendly by nature, if a bit uptight and prideful.Unexpected Strength
Thin though they may be, an elves slender form contains a surprising amount of power. Within their graceful body their powerful magic is always flowing through and strengthening it from the inside out. Because of this elves are able to output an amazing amount of strength despite having relatively small physical muscles. Many who aren't familiar with them will assume the elves to be more suited to magic than hand to hand combat but not many are able to maintain that view after receiving a solid left hook to the face.Mystical Metalworkers
The weapons produced by the elves are the greatest in Etheria, as is to be expected from those with forge celestial blood flowing through their veins. They have an intense distaste for the underground environment of a mine however so long in the past they developed a unique magic to create seeds of living metal. These seeds have long since bloomed and now the country of the elves lies deep within a massive forest of metal. These trees are incredibly important to the elven culture, being shaped into houses, used for rituals, and most importantly being made into various contraptions and weaponry.Age
Elves mature slowly compared to humans and are only tentatively considered mature when they turn 50 years old. At this point they will leave their home and go on a journey to explore the world and hone their skills. These journeys can last anywhere from 10 years to 100 and an elf is only considered a true adult when they return home and begin to use what they gained on their travels to contribute to the community. This may seem to be a despairingly long journey from a human perspective but for elves that commonly live to be 1000 it is but a small chapter in their lives.Superior Focus
Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep. Additionally you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.Keen Eyes
Used to twilit forests and dark forges, elves possess superior darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.Craftsman's Intuition
