Guess what! There's a book now! — (MxM, Thriller, Erotic)

Bathmaster Hor'rus

The architect behind the Hor’rus Geyser Chamber & owner of the Hor'rus' Bathhouse. Hor'rus is a skilled geothermal engineer sharpened by his time at the old geothermal institute. Rumor has it he was one a member of the Geothermal Mason Society hence why he was capable of constructing the Chamber that powers all of Gommorah Sands.

Despite looking fairly young, he is not in his original body, which was lost long ago. If you ask him nicely, or catch him in the Bathhouse, he may regale you of the tale of how he came to the Sands, and how he worked on tapping and fortifying the Geyser that he now bathes in.

Oh yes, this is not my first body by any means. This form is in fact my third. I lost the first in the Huckleberry Cataclsym, then the next when the Gesyer just below us had an errant eruption during my work.

While these new bones might not be able to cast the same spells, I do find that being an Aen suits my quite well.

— Hor'rus

A Tempered Mind

Hor'rus is the oldest resident of the Sands, even out-staying the Baron themselves by a several decades. Before arriving and helping architect the Sands, Hor'rus worked in the depths of the Huckleberry Ridge in the Geothermal Institute. When the Institute was destroyed in the Cataclysm, Hor'rus managed to escape with his knoweldge, but a badly burned body which ruined his ability to cast most Meta.

The value of his mind was great enough to warrant the Federation printing him a new body to transplant to. The move cost him his Monolith abilities, but gave him the ability to work on the Hor’rus Geyser Chamber. Even if he couldn't do as much, his mind still held the knowledge needed to make the project work.

When the Federation abandoned the Sands, Hor'rus stayed and remained even when Hedon moved in. His maintainence of the place earned him the ability to upgrade his current body with mods and even change his Sophont.

The Friendly Face

Now in 'retirement' Hor'rus spends his time enjoying his work and keeping them running. He owns and operates the Bathhouse, where he enjoys all the pleasures that it brings. Physical through affection, mental through conversation. He is seen as one of the features of the Sands, no one leaves without knowing his name.

Very enjoyable read. People with big personalities and stories to tell are always a ton of fun.   Having now been to a few small and remote communities, there are definitely people who are features of the locations. I've talked to people who have been to the same places - separated by a decade in time - and they've asked if I knew a certain person. All I could say was "Yes, I do."

I had such a similar situation a couple weeks ago! Went up to a mountain place I've been going to since I was little. Some of the same folks are working the shops, and so we have these true old bloods that we talk about history with and they give the best advice!   Glad you enjoyed the personality! I look forward to exploring him more.
