The Ring of Brass thwarted his attempt to release two primordial titans from their prison beneath Mount Ygora but destroyed the Tree of Names that sealed them away, instead transporting them to the Astral Sea. Furious about the loss of his allies, Asmodeus smote the city, sending it plummeting into Cathmoíra and Mount Ygora. The impact was magnified by Avalir's vast stores of aether, and the resulting explosion decimated the entire continent of Domunas.
To protect their surviving mortal creations, the Prime Deities forged the Divine Gate and banished themselves and the Betrayer Gods to the realms beyond it, locking all divinity from direct access to the Material Plane.
A merchant fleet headed for Wildemount stumbled upon the Shattered Teeth after being blown off course by a hurricane. By the end of the year, the merchants had established the Wanderman Alliance, a treaty with the Ossended Host that established the shipwrecked settlement as an official trading post of Ank'Harel.
Marquesian colonists in the Shattered Teeth declare independence, forming a new government called the Wanderman Assembly.
