Mental characteristics
An elf from the forest outpost of Yeshelmaar Liahna learned her trade from the master artificers of the skyforge. As one of the last bastions of the great dale, the Yeshelmaar had a decent population but the collapse of the larger government and its location deep in the forest meant growing up dangers were plenty. The artificers devised a way to set traps as a deterrent to potential predators and Liahna served among the sapper corps for a little over a hundred years.
Upon recovering from accident that cost her both her arms, she decided she had served her time and set out through the forest to the west. After spending some time helping the people returning to Uthmere after the spellplague rebuild their defenses, she got passage across the sea to Suzail and spent the next several years traveling across the sword coast. Eventually she ended up in Port Nyanzaru where a chance encounter with artus cimber changed everything. She aided him as he was fleeing with the help of her unique magic and during their time together got the chance to inspect his artifact - the ring of winter. She had never seen such a powerful item before and although that item in particular was more of a curse than a blessing it gave her a new goal. Now that it was possible to make items this powerful she wouldn't rest until she had one of her own.
She and artus parted ways and she set off back to the sword coast. She met Ennalan and Verilath during a stay in Waterdeep and hit it off. They brought her onto their work and formed Arbiter. She's currently using the work to learn, explore new techniques in artificing and collecting magic itesm to build her artifact.
Initally taught by the craftsmen of yeshelmaar but has picked up skills and techniques from all across faerun.
Steady employment taking contracts with Arbiter
Blew off her fucking arms, got them regrown by a druid in Yheshelmaar, then got caught in another one of her trap explosions and lost them AGAIN along with an eye. She decided she's just going to keep artificial limbs since its less painful to lose them if explosion number 3 catches her.
She's doing pretty good overall. She spent a long time fighting but she had a healthy upbringing and even though shes faced a lot of dangers she has the skills she needs to survive. She's slow to trust but thats more due to the way she lives her life than any particular traumatic incident.
intelligent, driven and capable Liahna never stops working towards a goal until its proved impossible or she achieves it.
She's not evil by any metric but she's not going to let much stand in the way of her goals. While arbiter generally takes on work helping the side of the oppressed thats more of a perk than a requiremnt for her.
Personality Characteristics
She is looking to create her own artifact, taking payment for her work with Arbiter in magic items and material components to help speed production. She still has a ways to go before she knows how to achieve this goal so she is also looking to gain wisdom and skills from across the continent. Everything she does is in service one way or another to that goal

She's funny, diligent, and she's willing to do extremely dangerous work and take huge risks for whats generally a good cause. Once she's taken a contract she's in it all the way, even at the cost of limbs.
Liahna is always on the grind. There is very little downtime between missions that she doesn't spend plotting, learning or on the hunt for the next contract.

Met in waterdeep, and after getting caught up in some of Ennalan and Verilath. They ended up leaving and she saw the potential to further her own goals. It helps a lot that there powers compliment each other so much. They've become a deeply effective team and talk with the casual familiarity of old friends.

In the field Liahna is the only member that puts herself in real tangible danger. Though through Verilath's demisleep support she doesn't feel alone and the two have become good friends with Verilath acting as Liahna's teather to the security of whatever organization they're involved with.
History
They know each other and occasionally correspond. They're both big fans of the others artificer work. Its pretty casual but they'll hit each other up to get their opinions on complicated problems.
