Personal history
Nilnan always knew she was going to do great things. Growing up, everyone in Amphail always said so but this wasn't how she knew. She just always knew what to do or say to make what needed to happen, happen. She grew up strong, working with the horses for the nobles of waterdeep and at 14 the sign she had been waiting for appeared.
A vision from the godess Tymora instructed Nilnan to travel south and train in the holy city of Elturel as one of her worshipers, and glory would be hers. So she set out and for the first time things didn't come easy to her, but she worked and fought and learned until they got easier. She found a new family training in Elturgard, including the love of her life, Peszes. By the years end however they would be the only two of that family alive.
A mission into the nine hells gone horribly wrong left their entirely team dead, Nilnan mortally wounded and Peszes down an arm and an eye cursed never to grow back. When reienforcements arrived and they were rescued, the pair were relieved of the rest of their service. After recovering and in an effort to cope with what had happened to them, they set out to make a name for themselves among the only slightly less fiendish citizens of waterdeep.
About a week into their new setting they and a companion from their caravan, Abigail, met a bruised, teary-eyed Ilxin. After some light hearted revenge the four decided to travel together and set up shop in Waterdeep and then eventually went off to the Moonshae Isles.

That last battle into the hells was deeply traumatic for her. She was the only one to come out without any kind of permanent damage and the survivors guilt and flashbacks still wake her up in the night.
