Session 9 Report

General Summary

  • Iskander spoke of his time in prison for piracy
  • Sulu talked about his time as a slave to the Grung and how AT & Cheep took care of that
  • During the ascension of Skybreaker Temple, the party was teleported to The Shadowfell
  • Jermaine thought his negative thoughts were to blame
  • Jermaine turned into a Shadow Dragon shortly after, leaving the party behind
  • The party met up with a krinth named Vendrea, who was wounded
  • The wound showed signs of Wild Fever, confirming its existence in other planes
  • Vendrea led the party to her run-down house, where they met her daughter, Yvla
  • Vendrea described various things about the city, named Thultanthar
  • There is a caste system in place, and krinth are at the bottom
  • The middle of the system is the zar'ithra; drow with acute shadow dragon blood
  • The highest are half-drow and half-shadow dragon: the zekyl
  • The leader, Achatima, is the one responsible for overthrowing this krinth city
  • He's also why Jermaine turned into a shadow dragon
  • He will serve to do Tiamat's bidding for as long as he can survive the curse
  • Most dragon servants enthralled in this way die after a few weeks
  • The party decided to find a way out to get help immediately
  • They helped a zar'ithra man (Uthyr) clear out a poltergeist from his house
  • As payment, he plane shifted the party back to The Prime Material
  • Soon after Gedrass ate the vile bastard outside the temple
  • The party reported the situation to Gedrass
  • They're on their way to Abruan to report back to Egni & Jorokk
  • Gedrass will go to Coven Island to alert the Aasimar afterward

Rewards Granted

  • Knowledge regarding the Wild Fever being active in The Shadowfell
  • Insight on the nature of Wild Magic and how it can affect pre-established enchantments
  • A set of bone dice with glowing red runes*
  • A bone dreamcatcher with engravings*
  • A brass clock with bone-carved hands*
* These objects were supposedly enchanted by night hags for the purpose of cursing anyone who would take them from the rightful owner. When three of these objects come together, then they summon a poltergeist in a nearby space, and afterward will summon shadows from within each collected item. It is unknown if defeating the shadows and poltergeist removed the curse.
